BS1363 clause 9.3.1 Plug and socket cover test device
Compliance:
The test complies with the standards of BS1363.1: 1995, clause 9.3.1 (Figures 2a and 2b).
Applicable scope:
Applicable for testing BS plugs will not cause the charged parts to pierce the outer surface or cause the creepage distance and clearance to fall below the specified requirements due to excessive pressure during the normal assembly and wiring and other use.
Test method:
Insert the sample pin to the wooden mounting block in the test device, press the hammer with the surface area of 25.0 ~ 25.2mm2 and the bottom chamfer of 2.0 ~ 2.5mm at the arbitrary position of the sample. And a pressure of 230 to 240N is applied by a weight. In each test, all the conductive parts on the sample are connected together and applied with AC2000 ± 60V / 50HZ voltage between them and ground hammer for 60 ~ 65S.
Determination method: During the test, the sample shall not flashover or breakdown. A force of 28 to 30 N shall be applied with the test finger 11 in BS EN 61032: 1998, and the live parts shall not be touched.
Main configuration:

2, the pressure hammer: D bottom chamfer R is 2.0 ~ 2.5, an area of 25.0 ~ 25.2mm2;
