IEC 60529 IPX8 Pressure Immersion Testing with Automatic Pressure Control and Water Heating
The BONAD BND-IPX8-H heated immersion pressure test chamber is designed for IPX8 water ingress testing of sealed products. It simulates water depths from 1 to 30 m with a pressure range of 0.01 to 0.3 MPa, making it suitable for electronics, automotive components, lighting products, connectors, sensors and industrial enclosures.
The specimen is fully immersed in the SUS304 tank while the system automatically regulates and maintains the preset pressure. Integrated heating provides an adjustable water temperature from room temperature to 60 C, with digital pressure and time displays for test monitoring.
The standard inner tank is Dia. 300 x H500 mm. A silicone seal, 8-bolt fastening, manual exhaust valve and automatic pressure relief valve support reliable operation. Tank dimensions and heating configurations can be customized, while alternative pressure requirements can be evaluated.

Test Procedure
- Fill the pressure tank with clean water.
- Place the specimen inside the tank and make sure it is completely immersed and securely positioned.
- Check the silicone sealing ring, close the lid and tighten all lid fasteners.
- Set the required water temperature, pressure and test duration.
- Allow the water to reach the required temperature when a heated test is performed.
- Start the pressure cycle. The system raises and maintains the preset pressure automatically.
- After the test, release the pressure through the manual exhaust valve.
- Confirm that the pressure display has returned to zero before releasing the lid fasteners.
- Remove the specimen and inspect it according to the specified water ingress acceptance criteria.
