The BONAD BND-IPX9K series is an enclosed test chamber for evaluating the resistance of automotive electrical components and other product enclosures to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets according to ISO 20653:2023.
Four nozzles apply water at 80 C from 0, 30, 60 and 90 degree positions while the specimen rotates. The system provides 8000 to 10000 kPa pressure, a flow rate of 14 to 16 L/min and an adjustable spray distance of 100 to 200 mm.
The chamber includes a SUS304 test area, water tank, heating and circulation system, observation window and safety protection. Two standard sizes and customized configurations are available.
ISO 20653:2023
Road vehicles - Degrees of protection provided by enclosures of electrical equipment against foreign objects, water and access.
This model is configured for IPX9K testing according to ISO 20653. If IEC 60529 IPX9 or another customer standard is required, the applicable edition and test conditions should be confirmed separately.
The IPX9K water spray test chamber is suitable for testing:
The equipment is suitable for manufacturers, testing laboratories, quality inspection departments and certification organizations.
| Test Condition | Standard Configuration |
|---|---|
| Water Exposure | Close-range high pressure and high temperature water jets |
| Water Pressure | 8000 to 10000 kPa |
| Water Flow Rate | 14 to 16 L/min |
| Water Temperature | 80 C, tolerance +/- 5 C |
| Nozzle Quantity | 4 |
| Spray Angles | 0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees |
| Nozzle-to-Specimen Distance | 100 to 200 mm, adjustable |
| Turntable Speed | 4 to 10 r/min |
| Spray Duration | 30 s at each position |
| Total Test Time | 120 s |
| Specimen Position | Mounted securely on the rotating turntable |
The spray system provides a water pressure of 8000 to 10000 kPa and a flow rate of 14 to 16 L/min. The integrated heating system raises the test water temperature to 80 C and maintains it within a tolerance of +/- 5 C.
Four nozzles are positioned at 0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees. Water is applied from each position in sequence while the specimen rotates on the turntable.
The nozzle-to-specimen distance can be adjusted from 100 to 200 mm according to the specimen dimensions and test setup.
The fully enclosed chamber contains high-pressure spray and hot water within the test area, helping reduce water and steam exposure in the surrounding laboratory.
The inner chamber and specimen turntable are manufactured from SUS304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long-term use.
The equipment includes a water tank, heating system and circulating water system. A float valve controls water filling, while low water level detection helps protect the pump and heating system.
The 400 mm turntable supports a standard load of 50 kg. Its rotation speed is adjustable from 4 to 10 r/min, and mounting holes allow different specimen shapes to be secured.
A tempered-glass observation window and internal LED lighting allow the operator to monitor the specimen during testing.
A 220 V specimen power supply is provided for test plans that require the product to operate during water exposure.
The system includes leakage protection, water shortage protection and short circuit protection.
